This intensive 4-day course combines essential theory with hands-on practical training, guiding you through every aspect of Class 4 & 7 MOT testing. Training takes place in our modern, purpose-built facility, equipped with the latest connected technology. Our experienced instructors are here to support you at every stage, helping you master each skill. Upon completing the course, you’ll conduct a DVSA demonstration test in a familiar setting, with our team on hand to provide guidance and encouragement.
The Course Covers:
- Safe working practices in a vehicle test centre.
- Building effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Managing and maintaining professional development as an MOT tester.
- Performing pre-test checks for an MOT.
- Conducting an MOT test.
Training will take place at our purpose-built facility, equipped with the latest connected equipment.
Throughout the course, you will receive guidance and support from our experienced, qualified instructors.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will undertake a DVSA demonstration test.
By this point, you will be fully familiar with both the vehicle and equipment, and our team will be there to support you every step of the way.

Course Eligibility:
To become a Class 4 and Class 7 tester you must already have:
Level 3 qualification recognised by DVSA – click here to view a list of DVSA approved qualifications.
If you do not have this qualification, we offer a Level 3 Light Vehicle Inspection Course.
A current & full UK driving license for the classes of vehicles you wish to test.
Be of Good Repute as determined by the DVSA.
A minimum of four years’ experience working in a garage.
You cannot become a tester if you have any unspent criminal convictions for criminal offences (DVSA demo test is subject to a basic DBS check).
