Step 1. Eligibility
You must be employed full-time with at least 4 years of experience in a role involving vehicle inspection, maintenance, or repair.
Step 2. Light Vehicle Inspection
Choose between a 3-day course or a 1-day assessment to gain the skills required for vehicle inspection and earn your accreditation. If you already hold a Light Vehicle Inspection certification, proceed to Step 3.
Step 3. MOT Tester Courses
Level 2 Award covering the MOT Tester Manual and systems. Complete 3 days of training and assessment to qualify.
Step 4. DVSA Demonstration Test
Final VT8 Demonstration Test observed by DVSA, with on-site support and guidance from our trainers.
Upon completion, you'll be officially certified as a nominated tester!
